I am now sure these items do not read correctly as when I turn on the ignition they both jump up. The speedo to between 5 and 10 mph and the rev counter to about 1000rpm. Anyone have any ideas or solutions for fixing?
I'm sure it's got something to do with when the speedo face was changed for the SVA!!!

If you ask me, I'd say that the needles haven't been put back on properly. They're supposed to be put on so they read zero with the IGN on. When you turn the IGN off they would then fall back and sit on the resting pin.
You can sort this yourself by removing the steering wheel cowling then the insturment panel (not many screws to undo). The needles can be removed very carefully using a fork. Be gentle and ease them off otherwise you risk knackering the speedo and tacho.
Then, with the IGN on replace them so they read zero.
Alternatively, and probably better, is go back to where you got it from and request they get it sorted. It may mean the dealer going back to the SVA preparation people but so be it. At least if they break anything they're responsible for paying to fix itm and not you.
