They came, they saw, they Barbequed
Spot the odd one out
Life's a beach
Dinner is served
As the Delica sets slowly in the west
A good time was had by all!!! |

was a wicked afternoon
am *really* burnt tho >.< as unaccustomed as i am to the sun, and as surprised as i was to see it! - the kids are okay tho thankfully
was great to put some faces to names, and a really pleasant afternoon was spent by all concerned - namely - astra and Netpest, Mystery Machine, Willisa, IanFj, Macpingu and Russ a definately-must-do-again-very-soon-affair!
BBQ/Cooking stuff was supplied by Mystery Machine (even if we were missing a pipe ;) ) and Willisa - muchly appreciated, thankyou folks and everyone brought food to bring to the table to share out, although i think we all had eyes bigger than our bellies!!
we had some wicked entertainment in the form of Will and then Russ both storming up a rather steep sand dune - Video piccies to follow by Russ on his return home! competition was to get the highest.. Russ won by a whisker - I've got the photographic proof of some of the hedge at the top of the dune wedged in the bullbars on Russ's mean machine!
will stick our piccies up tomorrow.. after i've had a chance to catch up on some sleep!
cheers again folks when are we meeting up there again?! |

For anyone interested, I've added a modified version of my movie. It's a bit smaller (1.2Mbish) as well, so quicker to watch for the dial-ups Turn your speaker on as it has sound, music & commentary
My thanks go to Macpingu for taking the film.. Cheers _________________

Thanks for the GREAT day! :D :D
The Monkey was most annoyed that she was stuck in work when I was on the beach only a mile away having a fantastic time!!
Got burnt (I'll take you up on the offer of Sun Cream next time Will!! ) but really enjoyed EVERY minute of it....
Got stuffed to the gills on all the nice food that everyone brought, the Mystery Machine STILL stinks of BBQ, the sand is still everywhere, but that's what made it such a nice day.
Was really nice to meet everyone, just a shame that Ian didn't have the Fridge around to keep us cool! , but hopefully it will be on the road V.soon? Was nice to meet MacPingu (Craig, Christine & the dog) who will hopefully be joining in the Deli experience in their own machine sometime soon? (PM sent regarding where to buy etc....Craig ) and good to put faces to names......hands up all those who feel REALLY odd introducing themselves by their user names?? "Hi, I'm Mystery Machine and you are?"
Got some good piccies, and some fantastic video footage of the 'Dune Bashing' but nothing to add to what has already been posted, so that will save me having to upload them all!!
Thanks again to everyone who made it really cool and it just summed up to me what the club is all about - nice people, laid back approach - getting together and having a laugh - what more could you ask for? 8)
Regards,
Bruce.
P.S. Will, where did you get that BBQ from? LOVE it!!!! :D
P.P.S. Decided to upload a few piccies after all! So here they are......
On the beach - What a bunch!!
Hmmmmm.....FOOOOD!!! :D
All full up - but still lots to eat!!
Will tries to escape via the dunes! (Thinks he's in Dubai! )
A Royal inspection! 8) _________________ '93 L300 Mystery Machine (Now in the hands of a new owner)
