hi All,

I would have a chance to grab a PD5W Delica, European version 4D56 engine but rotted van. all mechanical stuff still good.
so I wondered if grabbing it and swapping the diffs incl. an LSD rear diff would work at all. the ratio is 4,636 vs my stock 4,875 which I would like to see my highway revs going down.
alternatively I have access to a S2 PD8W without LSD but 4,636 ratio.

these are the Mitsu part numbers of crown wheel and pinion sets for the 3 cars retrieved from partsouq.com using the VIN. very different even for both 4,636 versions of the front diff.

PD5W European PD8W S2 2,8td PE8W my S1 2,8td
Front  4,636           4,636             4,875
 MR179199            MR124859     MB831031
Rear  MR208659             MR162750     MB527147

does anyone have a source where you would find actual dimensions, I found that there are different diff sizes from 8 to 9" or how many splines the pinions have etc., would like to understand if they are interchangeable.
altough when getting the donor cars in whole I might have to swap entire axles and drive trains to make it work but that would be least preferred.

thx
Peter
