I'm tempted to come over on the Friday too, and camp 'wild' if need be for the first night. There's a minimal extra charge on Isle of Wight ferry fare for me so may as well make the most of it.

Just need Chris to confirm I can have his plot for the Saturday night ;)

Will a 'standard' Deli, un-lifted and furnished with standard AT marked road tyres manage the off-roading?

I'm more than prepared for scratches to bodywork (she has a fine collection already) but wouldn't want to be ripping bits off the underside.

You will be okay if you get stuck a tow will get you going again and we cater to the people on the trip we don't try to get you in a situation you are not happy about. :D

Yeah, Sat will be the off road day out, or the main one that is.
Would think most people would be getting ready to leave on the Sun.

I like the way it says unsuitable for cars, little do they know. I was fully expecting the rider to go around one of those unsighted corners straight into a Landy.  Shocked

Bit quick i think how many times now do we meet walkers and cyclists now though i would probably roar around myself on a bike so should'nt really be critical.

Having a roar around is okay in the open where you can see if anything's about but that lane's to narrow for speed.
When I went down there I couldn't see much but I wouldn't hurt me if they parked their bike in my bonnet

It might hurt your pocket tho -

A couple of months back, approx 2 a.m. driving cab, going home.
Location = Druid Street, junc. of Tower Bridge Road, London.

People carrier as tall as a Delica in front of me, we pulled away from green traffic lights, both of us turning right,
from the right a cyclist going fast downhill (from Tower Bridge) thought he should not stop at a red light.

He collided with the people carrier, flew up into the windscreen and smashed it.
The boy then lay in the road only slightly concsious, just enough to know he was badly hurt.

Be careful what you say Les - - - you never know  Wink

Why would it hurt my pocket?
Byway's are legal road's so you need to be legal to drive them, that includes insurance.
Wouldn't bother me if they ended up on the floor in a heap or even in my windscreen.
Yeah I know, I'm a nasty evil person, but I don't care.

At a guess I'd say it'll be closer to 11 than 10 to give people time to get there and organised..
You could always ask at the front if you can drive in,shouldn't think it'd be a prob..
I may even have a quick shuftie around the lanes to have a check
