Can anybody offer any tips / tutorials on cleaning the underside of a Deli to a show standard.
I'm thinking along the lines of getting it all painted under there and looking spick and span as its doubtfull ill do much green laning.
Anybody done this ? What paints, cleaning fluids and methods should i use ?
Thanks, dave _________________

Steam clean it !
that will (if doen right) remove all crud and grease, road film etc
but can also remove and dodgy paint !
I would not advise going bare
I'd suggest paint it with either hammerite for a gloss finish or...
underseal it to protect it from rust,
from Japan it only has a light amount of paint under there _________________ Regards

Strange rover has the right idea, a good steam clean gets rid of all the crud, but it is better off being done where you are going to do the work rather than getting it cleaned then driving several miles back home to start painting......
So a good steam clean, then wipe it down with some cheap Celulose thinners and either etch prime it or hammerite direct if you want, but if you do then either wait for the paint to finish and waxoyl over it or you will just need to keep an eye on it......
Hammerite is good stuff but it does have a downside and that is that it chips of if stuck with stones at force, if you waxoyl after you paint, leave for at least 3 days for it to harden, then most of the crud bouncing around under the car just bounces off or sticks to the waxoyl and falls off at later....... The waxoyl also softens up any old underseal you may have under the vehicle which also helps fight the corrosion.
