Just remember. Like with normal test. If you pass b+e in an auto you are only allowed to tow with autos, even if you can normally drive manuals...... |

Oops been towing a 3.5 tone trailer with a mini digger on it lol
3375kg total weight trailer and digger.
I do have the old style license though.
I did think 3.5 was okay? |

Depend's what you've been using to tow it with.
As far as I'm aware Delicas don't have towing weight because they don't have towbars fitted in Japan so shouldn't really be used in the UK to tow! but the police only worry about that if you either crash or cause someone else to.
But if it look's odd then they will stop you. _________________ 2nd gear low and go go go!

Not so sure admitting that on a public forum is too wise. _________________ Marc

I know that a Diahatsu Fourtrack can pull a 3.5tonne braked trailer.
But they were imported so different. _________________ 2nd gear low and go go go!

So the little old lady next door can tow 7.5t and I can only tow 3.5t because I passed a couple of days after the date of change. Even though I have advanced and high performance advanced for both car and bike, plus I have a class 2/ C licences and was driving 42t waggon for a living.
How exactly is this change of entitlement meant to be safer ?
More qualified than most people including up to traffic officers yet aint good enough to tow a caravan because when I add my kids bmx it is 12kg over the limit. WHAT A JOKE THIS COUNTRIES IDEA OF ROAD SAFETY IS |

No mate. artic is as it says articulated. I drove rigid heavy loaders. small buildings / heavy machinery etc.
The lightest load I carried on mine was a 22ton earthmover. |

Strange that the Towing weight is less than the GVWR for the 400, whereas it is the same figure (as you would expect ) for the 300. Has some clerk made an error somewhere? _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Sorry Andy that chart was put on this post in error. It should have been on the post that it is now linked to, showing L300 and L400 details. _________________
