He said a 'Manual Deli' - not a 'Deli Manual' - ie the gearbox!
Though to be fair PinkPig does still qualify. _________________

wish I'd bought a manual
getting bored with random gearchanges. Up a gear, down a gear rev it's bollocks off, kick down, up 2 gears, down a gear, silly revs, DUNK into gear, smooth, kick down etc etc etc etc
MAKE YOUR MIND UP & JUST BEHAVE

not sure whats wrong with it. I drive the same piece of road, at the same time, in the same traffic day in day out
but i'm just not getting the hang of the shift / kick down points
it just seems random at times
Have noticed that it behaves better when say, I set off from work, drive it about 5 miles towards home, stop at petrol station, re-start it etc. When I drive away the box seems smoother & predictable
Also seems better when it's had a good 'booting'
Chiefie mentioned they have a kind of memory on the box, wondered if it was used to my 'from cold' commute, but stop / starting the ignition when warm is resetting it?
(I've not touched the TPS yet by the way, and the EGR isn't blanked) _________________ the man that promises to fix your Deli, does sod all, yet still takes your money, is DEFINITELY a cock . . . . . . |

how long is your journey ?
the box behaves differently when cold, it needs coolant to be 70 degrees or something...
what is your heater and temp gauge like ?? _________________ Regards

it's about 7 miles each way, 1st mile is heavy traffic, then 5 miles 50 / 60 mph A road, then a 1 miles uphill m/way blast.
I usually wait until the 3rd (transmission) click before moving off, specially on way home, or it sits about 40 mph as I come down slip road (then changes up 2 gears simultaneously)
temp gauge sitting sits around the half way mark, or just below, heaters are scorchio after a short while
it does drive much much better warm _________________ the man that promises to fix your Deli, does sod all, yet still takes your money, is DEFINITELY a cock . . . . . . |
