Yeah you have a new ham on board I am M0JFK and yes I did do my Morse for the A class licence and you don’t have to take Morse anymore and the RAE is no longer a City and Guilds certificated course anymore so you can do the Foundation, Intermediate, and Full Licence at a club or as a one off event but you must go through all three stages you can’t jump right onto an A class full course...but some people have done all three together on the same day I have been told. |

Hi Kev
Welcome aboard, some photos would be good. How have you mounted the High Sierra 1800.
My first call was GU7CQN, got it in 1988
Like Peter I did it the old way. _________________ Jes

Hi Jes
I think I was one of the last to do it the old way Before I had a chance to sit my Morse they changed the rules and I did not need it .The High Sierra was on the Maverick, I only bought the Deli on Sunday so have not worked it all out yet. When I do I will post a piccy. I then have to find room for the 2/70, 4m, PMR and motorsport safety radio aerials and I'm done. It's lucky it has a solid roof and not a Crystalite one LOL.

20KW of SIDEBAND! Using a Delica as the antenna... Well At the moment its still a Volvo,
I'm 2W0VVL By the way!
As soon as the Volvos gone, I'm going mobile, I have a FT857 to go in the Deli, Ill only have a select few bands to work, but I have a good antenna tuner. |
