Has vehcile/owner survey ever been done on the club members.

I was thinking along the lines of..

Vehcile type
Engine.
Mileage and use.
Major faliure.
Remedial work required.
Reoccuring fault.

That way we could see what is likely to go wrong and is worth keeping an eye on etc.

I'm not sure how many active members MDOCUK have but I'm sure if we only get 50 - 100 results it would give a good representation of fault - issues etc.
If the AUS club dit it as well.

These thread disappear into the mists of time, I was thinking of an email sent out to members then a proper correlation of data.

Not at all Marc!  But I think that you (as in admin per se) seriously underestimate the addictive and friendly quality of this forum and the desire of the members to communicate with each other.  Who wants to visit the cold and lonely wastelands of the Garage?  There might be big spiders in there!  Wink

Anyway, I just hope that someone is logging all this data with a view to making some use of it  8)

I agree.

I'm sure every one apprieciates all the hard work in setting all those features up. But I personally prefare the data to be in one central location. i.e. The forum. The same goes for sales etc.

Great place regardles of how it is set up though.
