Half an hour with the jet wash and still kilos of crud under the truck the radiator seems to have been visited by a platerer and as its "indoors" the washer only gets half of it, got a bit hot on the way home.Spotted a chap with a garden sprayer washing off lights etc. got to be the answer to the quick engine bay rinse and may be what Eagles needed to turn his lights out. That mud is like cement when it dries.Still a great day out Mary fancies a "sacrificial 4x4" to tow to such meets Going to get some chums to invest. LETS DO IT AGAIN.

One thing I've learnt from yesterday is alternators don't really like mud Crying or Very sad

Hil, mine was getting hot too, better since I washed most the mud off the engine.

Might have to get me a little suzi Shocked Laughing

Great day though, still a lot of cleaning and hammering Twisted Evil to do.

The rads even closer to my step now Laughing

I'm gonna have to get a new plate made, mines dead as a dodo.
It's split far worse than I first thought. It's now split across the fold
in the middle. Casulties on my van have been :

front right step
bash/sump plate
alternator (for now ain't happy)

In conclusion L300's will get through a hell of a lot offroad but the
aftermath is horrible!! Rolling Eyes Gotta get me a dedicated toy Twisted Evil
