My engine seems to pull back (slouch) at 40mph and seems unresponsive for about half a mile is this common and has anybody experienced the same problem?

Is this when under load? If so check two things: first your fuel filter. If you have replaced it recently it may be a brand which does not allow sufficient fuel through ( this has happened to me). Secondly run a few bottles of diesel injector cleaner thru the system. If no improvement you might need an injector overhaul. Cheers, Dean.

Hi reevesy

If this only occurs from cold, then it is quite normal here in UK.
It's been under discussion before here :

http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=253&highlight=

It the engines/gearbox's way of protecting itself.

Hope this helps. Smile

Thanks for your answers i will change the filter and put injector cleaner through and see if there is any improvement, if not i will assume it is normal as others have the same problem. Thanks for the link.
Cheers
Darren
