|
|
I have a friend who very kindly said he would change the ATF fluid and the engine oil for me as I have a broken leg. I ordered an oil filter from Milner Off road part no. 004537 and my friend states that it is the wrong one as it does not have a central hole in it!
I was wondering if the milner part can just screw in without having a bolt that goes threw it?
Also the BOLT for the AT sump has been cross threaded at some point and I am hoping it has not damaged the thread on the AT sump but I need a replacement. Is this a universal size which I can get from Halfords or do I need to go to a Mitsubishi dealer?
Any help would be very much appreciated!!!!!! |

Hi Baz, the oil filters come up different sizes from Milners than Mitz' ones.
This topic has come up before on POCUK and loads of people have used the Milners ones...myself included
There just a standard type of screw on canister, think the bolt on the others is just for draining, but not sure as my first service was carried out be dealer _________________ Beat

Thanks. I am a bit puzzled as it looks as though the type on the vehicle needs the bolt to hold it in place but I am only going on what my mate said. I think I might have to take it off and try it :? If it does work then i will update everyone. |
