Problems are starting to stack up with my PD6W Sad
Latest is the sliding side door won't open using the external handle but will open using the internal (?) I've taken the door card off and can open easily enough using the actuator rod - as I'd expect with the internal door lever working correctly. The internal handle moves the rod much further than the external door handle operation does - external handle doesn't move the mechanism far enough to operate the latch.
I can't operate the door lock with the key, it seems to be stuck.
I'm not keen to take out the mechanism, it's the sort of thing that I can never reinstall correctly.

I have three possible thoughts:
1. There is a piece missing from between the external handle mechanism and the part that it pushes against to operate the release lever. The handle currently moves almost to full travel before the rod starts to move. Bridging this gap would cause the rod to move further and release.
2. The central locking mechanism is stuck/broken/is open or short circuited, resulting in it being stuck in the locked position. I've never tried, but I'm guessing the door can be opened using the internal lever even when central locking is active (?) I can't see anything obviously missing so I think this is the most likely cause.
3. Maybe the lock is simply jammed shut, hence the key won't operate it.

There was some moisture behind the door card and the problem first occurred during last week's very cold weather, the locks were mostly frozen.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Cheers

okay, please ignore. It didn't seem likely but the door handle is physically damaged at the bottom where leverage is applied to the mechanism. The only fix looks like a new handle.
