On the heater control panel on my L300 I'm unable to move the slider all the way to the right (the windscreen demister). I'd like to get this fixed before winter so I'm wondering if any one else has had this issue and if I can remove the control panel console without removing the whole dash? It seems like something is just jammed so I'm hoping it's an easy fix provided I can access to it.

Thanks as always!

Hi,

This post shows how to get the front panel off and stereo out. There are other screws for the heater panel under the front panel.

Just an update - I did manage to sort this. It was just a bent wire rod causing the lever not being able to be pushed all the way over. I didn't even have to take the heater console out all the way to bend the rod back to being straight and now my windscreen blower works perfectly, just in time for colder mornings. Thanks for the help and link.
