If memory serves me right, the diesel fuel filter warning light becomes an engine management warning light on Petrol engined Deli's. _________________

Did later ones not have a proper EML? (No year indicated.) _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

So if it is an EML what engine management problem would it be indicating? _________________ I'm a Delica newbie - please bear with me ;) |

Do I need to ground 1 of the OBD and look for flashing codes (or get it read properly)? _________________ I'm a Delica newbie - please bear with me ;) |

Mines a 2005 chamonix and never had that light. Sadly my handbook is in Japanese so can’t look it up. Last night mine did have a flickering battery and handbrake light for a few minutes - don’t know what that means either🤷♂️ _________________ 3.0 V6, Auto. 2005 |

I couldn't say on that, as there is no Mitsu software in the UK to read the Delica OBD codes, and I have not seen a set of codes for the issue. _________________

That often indicates a failing Diode in the alternator. _________________

Thanks Lewis. Is that an easy fix or would it be a new alternator needed? _________________ 3.0 V6, Auto. 2005 |

The diodes and rectifier are internally located. If you have a local auto electrical services place that can repair them, check their costs out against the cost of a second hand unit.

Can also be worn brushes in the alternator, especially if they go off when engine speed increases. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |
