Anyone know where to buy one (new or secondhand)? I need the complete halfshaft including CV joints at both ends

Its for a 95 L400 2.8 TDI

I've had a look on the Mitsubishi parts diagrams and its not clear what the part number is as it changes depending on which month in 1995 my Delica was made (unless anyone can clarify how I can ascertain the month?)

None on ebay (except in japan)
Local motor factors and Milner Off Road etc don't have it
I've already messaged people on ebay who are breaking one

Front nearside.

The existing one is mullered due to fretting and had to be cut off

I have just bought one from Mitzybitz, for £40 plus vat and delivery as I am struggling to find a new CV joint in the UK.

DelicaTessAn.

Some techy info. May seem "Nit Picking"  But to (ex) mechanics like me it means a big difference.
Half shafts usually refer to a shaft inside a tube - As found in a Rear axle. And in some front axles.

Where the shaft is exposed, or external, it is usually referred to as a Drive Shaft.

Not to be confused with a prop shaft (which some do). Knowing Delicas, we know what he means. Have you tried Fils Pajeros in Southampton, Dan? (They don't just do Pajeros!)

Thanks for clarifying the terminology.

I've found a photo of the relevant part here BTW   https://www.autopartssupply.com.au/mitsubishi-Delica-rh-front-cv-drive-shaft-2.8ltr-4

I believe that the relevant part is listed on this diagram as 32073AL  but if anyone can confirm or deny this I would be grateful:

https://mitsubishi.epc-data.com/delica_space_gear/pd6w/nsege1/front-axle/front-axle-housing-shaft/104694,104695/

Also, it lists two part numbers and the changeover is in 1995 so it's difficult to know which of the two would be correct for my 1995 vehicle?

Just to clarify, - at the top, you said you needed a nearside shaft, but the first link goes to an offside (R/H) shaft. Nearside is passenger side (near the kerb).

PS Confusion not helped by exploded drawings showing the L/H side of the vehicle on the R/H side of the drawing!

The drawing for the nearside is the bottom illustration (labelled ‘L/H’) is it not?

DelicaTessAn

To clarify:
1.  Regardless of Model, year or Series. there are only two front driveshafts.
2.  The one on the drivers side (RH) is a single shaft, that bolts to a flange - The flange connects it to the inner section and clutch.
3.  The Passenger side (LH) is a two section shaft, as per the photo you found. The inner end of that has a circlip about one centimetre from the end.

You may find this DIY post, with photos, about replacing the Passenger side one, useful:-
