Help guys, I've fitted a single din Pioneer unit, and used a Halfords adapter kit as Lewis has shown above, but nothing is coming through to the rear speakers( no fader control btw), I've purchased new edge speakers, but struggling to remove the bottom screws, but do able. So my question is do I get a power amp, and run all the speakers from there? the rear of the unit has 2 push in holes for left and right, which I think is the feed for the amp. Any ideas?

It would be cheaper to just buy some new speaker cable and run it directly from the head unit to the rear speakers, it will take you less than an hour.

problem is, there is only the standard bloc that fits into the Deli unit....no other outputs apart from the ones for an amp....may have to cut into the block end and run new cables.

just cut the cables on the adapter kit and attach the new speaker wires

think that's the best option, the unit is a Pioneer, so plenty powerful enough for my needs. Thanks for confirming my thoughts.

update time.....pulled off the rear panels, and thought I'd try the new speakers just to see what happens, and they fired into life so the old loom was okay, but not the speakers. Fitted the new edge speakers , and they went straight in, no problems, holes lined up fine, and used original screws. All panels refitted okay, top speaker grill is ever so slightly proud, but not enough to notice. Give it a good old blast and all good.....until I tried to start the engine.....no battery at all, only reading 8v.....seemed to have plenty of life earlier. Anyone got any ideas please?

Second update.....put a meter across the batteries, 12v, checked altenater, all working well, and tried to start her....after 3 goes she fired into life, and no problems since. The Deli gods have been kind to me Wink
