The original front speakers are 6 and 12 Ohms giving a combined load of 4 Ohms the way they are wired, if you look, the impedance should be marked on them. I was unable to find any after market manufactures that make speakers with these impedances so it would seem the options might be to just replace the door speakers and not use the dash ones or vice versa, by an amp that can run down to 2 Ohms and have 4 Ohm speakers in the dash and the door maybe some of the new multi speaker systems with crossovers may work. Personally i would replace the wiring because at the end of the day it's 20 years old and the connectors are likely a bit corroded etc.

HTH

Hi just an update,

I replaced all my speakers last week with JBL's

Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

What a difference

GT6 270w up front and

GT5 210w in the rear

Managed to keep original head unit also so have full touch screen control.

Thanks for all help and advice to all.

Chris
