Hi all,
Does anyone know where I might get a new EGR valve. The one I have, was blanked off but incorrectly. The valve itself doesn't respond to the vacuum. I'd like to see how the beast runs with a shiny new one. _________________ Kelch |

The only place to get a new one is genuine Mitsi, no-one makes a pattern part, why do you think it was blanked incorrectly? to be honest most of us just totally remove them. |

There was a lot of crud around the blanking plate and a substance that I can only describe as bluetak Sweeney to be used as a sealant? I've read a few posts on here saying that lowere engine noise and better MPG was achieved with a clean functional valve. Maybe I'll just get the blanking kit and do a good job! _________________ Kelch |

I'll agree that a new valve should help with emissions, but how many fit new valves? I've seen a lot more run better without them and new valves aren't cheap whereas a removal kit gets rid of the problem and lets the engine have clean air and fuel. Try a kit first its a lot cheaper than a new valve. |

I agree with albideli also I remember reading somewhere that certain metals can react with the manifold, could be someone's knocked up a home one and this has happened? _________________ Marc

If MPG is your thing then a Delica really isn't. |

Yes, you shouldn't fit stainless, either bolts or plates to aluminium, causes a reaction that corrodes the manifold away. |
