Advice please. Picked up Vanroyce caravan with Delica. Have not towed caravan before ..used to tow trailer with full house Cooper "S" race car on it ( Bedford Dormobile with 2.3 half race engine), but that was thirty years ago, a little older but doubt wiser! There is a jerking motion at some stages ..not when accelerating.....is the nose weight incorrect? Mate who helped me said his Rover does the same thing! He was surprised by the Delica power! Must be some simple? explanation. Cheers to all and Merry Xmas dingles. |

Is it a surging or chuffing chugging sound / feeling?
If so - check cam chain.
BTW - nice caravan - Phil _________________ 1996 Blue over Grey Delica Space Gear

Are you talking about the caravan or the Deli faultering? If it feels like some thing pushing you or pulling back check the tow hitch damper or brakes, if the Deli faulters when you back off on the revs possibly tps mine does it on occasions but not enough to worry about and I'm pulling 1730kg twin axe. |

The "Jerking motion" may be due to the trailer overrun brakes engaging.
Try adjusting the overrun brake lever to give more movement before it engages the brakes.
