Hi

I was looking at these as a cheaper version of the Thule ones. Given that the distance between the gutter and the roof on hi-top is 21cm the tallest ones should fit.

Hi, need roof bars as I'm going for a roof box, was a toss up over box or the rack but if i sell the Deli i can still use the box on next car, trying to keep the price down on the bars(think thule bars are a bit pricey for what they are)was going to give the cheepo 1's a try Wink

thanks.Dave

I just bought a set of AutoMaxi 160cm Commercial bars with mounting kit code VS for guttered vehicles (£70ish all in from MotorWorld).
I had to drill a couple of extra holes in the rearmost mounting to clear the Crystalite roof (by about 10mm at the high point in the centre) but it looks quite tidy and robust.
They also do a VL mounting kit but that is huge and looks like it would clear the roof on a high-top tranny.

need a favor..... just been informed by a mate col(macca) who has thule roof bars on his L400 that when fitted they are quite far apart, has any body got any pics of roof box's fitted so it will give me an idea of what size box is going to fit, i was after the small 1/2 width 360L halford box to fit over to side so as to get bike racks as well

Cheers. Dave

Whn looking on the site for thule bars I think its on products for some reason they only list L400 from 96 on

The thule weight limit is 75kg so fairly sturdy

As far as I am aware you can set whatever distance apart you want as long as the tabs that hold gutter trim are not affected.

I fitted Thule roofbars (80 squids from roofbox.co.uk) the day before I fitted my towbar last week! ( spring is definitely here in Yorkshire coz I have started moving) really easy to fit.

I fitted a Kamei Delphin 360 roof box. Brilliant even if I say so myself.

Its a bit dark at the moment but I will take some fotos 2morra and post them for you to see!

You can fit the bars close together or far apart depending on where you choose to fit them. They don't have to be far apart. I initially put mine close together but then they were too close for my big box.
