can anyone help please. I am trying to find a good mechanic in Surrey to fix the various
niggling problems I have with a Delica chamonix 1992.

Hi Juliette - I'm not a good mechanic but I have a similiar prob, trying to fing a good mechanic and hopefully has experience with Deli engines.

Finding decent Deli mechanics is hard........But

SVS near Ringwood Hampshire are the dogs Bo****ks.

Friendly, fantastic knowledge of Deli's 300s and 400s

And I know its rare now but are VERY resonable !

If you speak nicely to Steve he will also organise a free loan car.

I sound a bit like an advert Rolling Eyes

but I've had loads of work done by them over the last 4 years on both my L300s

and now wouldn't let anyone else near them, even though its a 100 mile each way trip salute

hey cheers for the heads up on the mechanic, really much appreciated, will let you know how we
get on. Did even contemplate a trip back to north wales just cos the bloke we had dealings with
there was such an enthusiast about motors and didn't rip us off. Van isn't actually mine, (the only
vehicle I drive is a forklift at work and a yamaha buggy, loadsa fun) but belongs to Phil my partner. Anyhow thanks.

Tony @ HAA used to work at SVS and has been servicing Japanese (and other) imports for a LONG time, including MANY Delicas, Pajeros, etc.

Thanks very much for the advice, SVS indeed very helpful, as were the mob at Hurn Airport. Looking at thick end of £1,000, but no choice.
Just wanted to point out, number for SVS is actually 01202 821 222 not 01202 8221 222!
Very tolerant lady on wrong number, but don't want to trouble her again.
