Just thought I'd pass on this guy's details. I had alarm problems (kept going off and telling me a door was open when it wasn't) and a non-functioning horn - and an MOT due. I got his details from a local tyre centre and called him - he came the next day, fixed both problems (busted switch under the bonnet and dead horn) in 45 minutes - including nipping off to get parts and charged me £35 plus parts (£60 in total).
Basically - good diagnostics, knew his stuff, friendly, reasonable...and he comes to you. He also does alarms, stereos, satnav, etc. His name is Ali and his number is 07748 325457
I don't know the guy, other than using him yesterday - just a straight forward recommendation.
