Club day on the 1st August on the Chase.
For anyone who has not been to the Chase this is their chance.
I have spoken to pocuk and can offer you the full day at a special rate of £30 per car.
The day will commence at 10am and from their we go to the training hill where ones who have never done it before get a taste of the day and also the failed hill climb instruction.
We then head out over the Chase and ther will be a demonstartion of recovery technics with a a couple of club members trying out their new skills on my car.
This is an escourted day and NOT a free for all.
Bring your own grub, (NO BARBIES) and enjoy the relaxing scenery while we dine at 500 feet up overlooking the chase.
The day ends about the 5pm mark.
PM, or e mail me if you have any questions.
Have a look on here for more information.

There area couple of delicas on the day too.
EDITED, sorry

Ploughed a few furrows with the towbar and lost the foglight - it stayed intact all day until the last run
Some of the turns are tight. Had do a couple fwd-rev type turns (so did some of the Pajs).
Sump guard took a bashing - at one point I think the Deli was sliding down the hill on it's belly (Deli Belly??) with no wheels touching 'cos some of the ruts were so deep ! Could do with a couple of extra inches (couldn't we all eh ? ).
Got one deep long scratch and a couple of little 'uns, but mostly just scuffs which should T-cut out.
Drivers side-step got little a modification, but should soon straightened up !
Nose dug in a couple of times, but no damage there.
None of this was any different for the Pajero peeps, particularly the LWB.
To be perfectly honest, Bill, Colin and Bruce had done all they could to make the courses non-damaging, but it's the nature of this type of greenlaning that some damage could occur. I fully accept that and it has in no way put me off going again.
However, although I didn't do so, if there was a route I didn't want to take for any reason, I didn't have too and alternative routes were usually available.
So if you want to take your pride and joy greenlaning, just be aware but don't be put off !
The photos just can't do justice to some of the gradients and surfaces we coped with and I'm still amazed and at what the Delica could do..... I smiled all the way round and still am :D :D :D :D :D _________________ Any information in this posting is correct to the best of my knowledge and I accept no resposibilty for any actions or results based upon it.© |

It's a b1oody big motor to T-Cut tho'
As for the tow bar, I dragged mine down a steep hill on it in Scotland,
no damage but it didn't sound good

It must be one of those Deli' things.
On the Southern run our Delis' were a lot more scratched than any of the Pajeros :? _________________ Beat
