any tips for first time auction virgins? not that i'll be buying first time there, ain't got the money yet hah hah hah, just wanted to get an idea of how they work and how much money i'll need for the model i want.

thanking yous, mike on an island with no Delica....yet.

Hi Mike.
Motorway Auctions are in Southampton, Eastern Docks, every Tuesday. Have to be careful though as I've seen a load of the stuff that has gone through there and not sold, and stuff that has sold that shouldn't have done! You need to be very careful and make sure you know exactly what you want as the dock auctions are the best place for importers to offload stuff and recoup some money on "bad" buys that the trade don't want, if you see what I mean. Some people get lucky, but I've known people to buy what they thought was a bargain to find shortly after that the engine or transmission is shot.
You're definitely safer going the dealer route, and it probably won't be any more expensive if you phone around.
Saying that, the auctions can be interesing/fun!
