Bruce has made a very nice st/st header tank for my bus...looks very nice and has the MM logo girt blasted into it.

Kepp having to polish it to make sure it is clean just in case i might have to open the bonnet.

Is there enough thickness in the plastic? You might be able to seal cracks if youre careful with a soldering iron tip.

I believe that Bruce (our very own 'Mystery Machine') has them in the pipeline (no pun intended!)

If it's 'urgent', it doesn't need to be a S/S one ;)

Hi all...

went to the indoor 4x4 show last weekend...

spoke to a guy who says he will make header tanks for the L400 for £95 + Shipping !

Company is called Darton Fabrications

Darton Fabrications
Unit 2, Sandon Bury Farm
Sandon
Herts, SG9 0QY

http://www.dartonfabrications.com/

now he can make a new one using a old one as a template but says he could do a better job if he had access to a L400 for the day as the fitting is tight around the filler cap and the way the bonnet goes around it....

so my question is ..

anyone got a faulty 2nd hand one as a template ?
or..
anyone able to get to him for a day so he can use your vehicle as template ?

if we can get a deffo list of people wanting a tank he says he will do a discounted price for bulk order

someones BOUND to have a screwed tank on here he can get a template off!

85 quid for mitsi cling film tank or 95 for an alloy one...nuff said ;)
