Hi Peeps,
I just got home. It was a compact turnout, but nice to meet all of you that did come to the meet! We were 8 vehicles, with around 20 peeps including families.
We saw the black cloud from Hemel Hempstead. Will add pics this evening!
All the best,

A good local meeting and nice to see some faces.
The weather was good, apart from the looming black cloud. I think somewhere a bit prettier next time, Service stations just don't do it for me, but 10 vehicles & families make this a good 1st Kent meet. _________________ Malcolm

I really enjoyed it as well.
The sun shone down and although cold in the air it was great in the sun.
Quite a few people were just staring at us from the service area shops on the balcony (I know we all looked a bit weird!!)
I think that we were not the centre of their attention but the line up of Delis caught their eyes...
It really was surprising to me how from a distance they all look the same but close up almost every Deli was different...One low roof one long wheelbase (Like the sound system in it... ) All were 400s and when any other car (or for that matter people carrier) parked nearby they all just dwarfed them!!
All the best

:DGreat turn out and great pics from both James and Rob :D
It was an impressive line up for a mini - meet and good to see so many variations.
Glad to see that mine had the only telescopic parking pole
Hope to do it again soon - if not then it's meet in the middle in April 8)
Steve and Charlie - thanks for participating in the littlest convoy and I've got plenty of ideas for tinkering with the wheels now - it was the shots fired from behind that was impressive
James - thanks for finding my spanner
Cheers all

Good to meet up with y'all at the weekend, good line up for the first Kent meet (even thou I'm from Essex )
Maybe a nice park or something next time would be good, but well done all as only 1 month to sort out first meet and all present 8)

We would have caught up sooner from the services if I didn't take the wrong turning _________________ Beat

Pleased that you all had a good meet. I should have checked this meet out as I was down at Cuxton on Sunday and could have said "Hello" but the old grey cells didn't get me to check the date of the meet with me living in Norfolk. Must remember to read about all the meets in future!

Hi guys n' gals,
I'm pretty hacked off by the fact that we returned from the meet, and by the looks of it, were the only ones that were having problems accessing the site
Anyway, rant over. Great meeting everyone and the sight of a 'live' Deli line-up was awsome! Great pics by the way. I had to chuckle at Sweatpea's 4th pic down where everyone is gathered round Eagles motor. For those not there, this was caused when a shout of "White dial kit" went out. I thought someone would get trampled in the rush I reckon there would have been less of a panic had it been an announcement of "Free money and sex"
Be good to do it again sometime in more pleasant surroundings and without a black cloud of doom nicking the sunshine. And I reckon we should rename it the South-east meet.
All the best,
Andy & Jackie.
PS Nice one Rusty _________________ Andy

Been having a think about this..
How about Mote Park in Maidstone. We really need to keep it sort of central which this is for those coming from east Kent and those coming in from SE London/Essex. Coming from Crawley you won't need to make the hop over the downs and can get there straight off the M20.
Check it out on this map..
www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=51.2664&lon=0.5501&scale=500000&icon=x
and some guff on the park itself..
