I fancy this - Driffield, East Yorks. Anyone else - could make it into a Delica camping meet - as an alternative or addition to AO (which I won't be attending!) https://www.driffield4x4.co.uk _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

It does sound interesting, but pricey for a single person who is not with a club = £87.38
If people registered either as a club or single club vehicle it's £50 per vehicle including two entry tickets (one Driver, one Passenger) and camping for the full weekend.
Arriving Friday 25th August after 1pm and depart after 6pm on Monday 28th August. You must display on all three days.
I've already contacted the event organiser to see how much area is allocated to a Club and that members would most likely register as individual club members. _________________

Thanks for your research, Lewis. I just looked at it again, and saw £80 for the three day ticket and nearly exploded! I can't be bothered to do the legwork, sadly, to organise a club pitch, but I wouldn't mind paying the £12 for a day ticket and staying on nearby campsites before and after, especially if we can agree on the day to attend the show and meet up. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

I've had a reply back from the organisers.
They have advised that they will be pegging out club area's a few days before the event starts.
As I mentioned above, individual vehicle camping fees for club members is £50 for the full three days. The same price as if we registered and paid for a group of Deli's in one go.
I will be going, so will sort out registering the club on Monday. What they will then do is include the option, on the single vehicle registration form, for members to advise they are MDOCUK club members. That will then automatically include them in the club area to be pegged out.
Vehicles allowed inside the club area will have to be of the type the club represents. I.E. Delica's, not Landrovers, transit vans, cars, etc.
HTH 😊
NB: Their rules include:-
No glass. (I take that to mean beer bottles & glasses)
No bonfires.
No Fire Pits
No BBQ’S or open fires _________________

Well done, Lewis! That's a bit more like it, I could be tempted now! I've got a bit jaded, and bored with AO Stratford unfortunately. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

The Club is now registered and I have also registered my vehicle and got my ticket.
For those wishing to go, use this link:- https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/driffield-4x4-clubstand-camping-tickets-517445372037?aff=ebdshpsearchautocomplete
It will ask, when you do the payment, for your club, Just enter MDOCUK

They are getting greedy at Driffield site!
I only live 25 miles away and would be up to attend for one day but I think I have something else on for that weekend with the Harley club.
Also I am very wary of organising a club pitch after being burned at the debacle of the East of England Japanese show when only myself and Andyman turned up. _________________ Ian.

As per my last post above. I have already sorted the club pitch.
Anybody going only needs to register using the provided link, as a single vehicle. They will be included in the group area. _________________

Have checked and it looks like I could make it.
The Harley meet is the weekend before. _________________ Ian.

Further to my last it took several attempts to get my ticket.
Hope the show is better organised than Eventbrite are!! _________________ Ian.

Just booked, paid, and printed my ticket. Thought "25th August rings a bell". Checked, - that's the day my Deli runs out of MoT. Reminder on calendar to book it in for late July/early August to give me time to deal with any issues arising. Nothing currently booked for that two week period. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

I always get mine done one month before the expiry date, then you get a lot of time to sort issues out. _________________

Yes, I'm looking forward to it. Too much long time no see! Might come and see you before that, on my 'hog'! _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |
