|
|
Hi All,
I'm looking at importing Deli to mainland Europe. Does anybody happen to know if the Headlight Converter Stickers would pass a countries (SVA) import test?
I have posted in the wanted section for a pair of Left Hand Drive Headlights
Thank you.
Cheers. |

Lamp converter stickers will not pass a SVA test. Parts have to be OEM.
Have you spotted this post:- http://www.MDOCUK.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19440

Thanks Lewis, I guessed that was probably the case hence the wanted add. Thanks for the link, I will try and chase these part numbers down.
Out of interest, any idea how many LHD Series 1's were made?

I suggest you contact Mitsubishi for that, as they were made in various configurations in several countries. _________________

I've managed to source the R/H side headlight online, Part Number MR162654.
Struggling to find the L/H side one, Part Number MR162653.
I've added a new wanted section post. @Lewis, could you please delete the original post?
Cheers. |

I have a picture of a LHD Hyundai Starex delivery van I took in Rhodes in 2018, which is obviously their copy of the Delica - it even has the scoop on the bonnet. To my non-L400 trained eyes, the headlights look a similar shape. Just a suggestion - may be worth looking into. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

PS: Don't you get a year or so over there as a visitor before the vehicle has to be registered and conform permanently to their regs? Should give you some time to find the necessary parts. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

This was a great idea, thanks, unfortunately the mounting points are different, was worth a shot though as they do look very close. Cheers. |

With regards to import rules, for France at least:
If you are just visiting, you can drive for up to six months per trip.
If you are moving your residence to France you are supposed to declare the vehicle, which should not require tax to be paid, if you've owned it more than six months prior.
Once you are resident in France 'normal' vehicles should be made legitimate within a month, but for models such as the Deli which aren't sold in France, you get up to four months. |

|
|
Hi all,
due to not reading the details of this discussion properly I went and ordered the EU lamps for the Series 1 L400 and mine is a series 2, facelift model.
For info PartSouk were very quick getting the parts to me in France.
I now have the full pair of the series one lamps, so if anyone needs them please contact me here and we can work out how to get them to you. They cost aorund €250 the pair delivered.
I am now going to give PartSouk the VIN number and hopefully this will yield the correct lamp pair I actually need. |

Unfortunately, PartSouk can only provide parts information relating to my VIN, which gives the lamp part numbers for driving on the left, as in the UK and Japan. I need the part numbers of the lamps for a vehicle to drive on the right ( in Europe). Does anyone know these for the L400 mk2 facelift version please?
It also seems likely that Partsouk do not have these parts as they did not have replacements for the ones I already have. Has anyone found a source for these in Europe? Or with reasonable price delived in France? Thanks |

I've just added the Mitsu 'AfterMarket Parts List' numbers, for the L400, to the 'Useful Parts Numbers' List.
Note the Year of use for parts number.

I don't know anything about VINs.
On the plate in the engine I see
Model: GH PD6W HSEHE
Engine: 6G72 W090
Trans axle: V4 A51 4875 |

The VIN gives you the vehicle build data
Code GH PD6W means you have a short whell base, high roof, Chamonix, with a 3Litre 6G72 Engine.
V4 A51 4875 means you have the V5 A51 Automatic Gearbox, with four gears in an auto transmission and axle/ differential splines set at 4.875 ratio.
Then you go to the second set of Letters/numbers. Those tell you what level the build is and what parts and optional extras, if any, were included in the manufacture.
During the build a part may have changed or become redundant. Even if it's the same part made by a different manufacturer the Part number will have changed.
Interestingly your VIN number (HSEHE) is not included in the Mitsubishi listings. Unless you have missed off a number separated by a space, which would indicate the year of manufacture. But most likely between August 2002 and November 2005.
Codes in the list for a GH PD6W are:-
XR (HIGH-ROOF), 4CA/T
HSEGE 3000/4WD/SHORT(WAGON)
Exceed (Crystal-LITE ROOF), 4CA/
HSEHE2 3000/4WD/SHORT(WAGON)

And the plot thickens, as according to that code list it's not an active field edition, although I do actually have an active field badge on the tailgate. I wonder if the tailgate has been replaced as I think I see a very slight colour mismatch between my white can and a faint creaminess to the tailgate |

I am currently about registering my L400 1995 within Europe and just came across this post. I know it's a long shot, but but would you still have the LHD headlights? |
