I read the L400 2.8 was reasonable for fuel. Claimed MPG seems to vary from 25 to 40 depending who you ask. What's typical for steady motorway use?

Deker reckoned his achieved  27 - 30 on sustained motorway runs at 70mph, I've never heard of any better, and bear in mind, his had standard sized tyres which means the speedo runs around 7% optimistic (it was 10% on my L300!)

I get a normal run, day to day, of 22-25'sh.
When on a long trip, camping, etc, no more than 30'ish.
If I stripped the seats out and carried nothing, but me, perhaps 32, at the most.

Basically; If you need to ask about fuel economy, then you can't afford it.
