Morning, does anyone know what size the bash plate bolts are? I have a first fitting this week and am guessing they are m10x1.25 but nothing here to confirm this!

These are what I used on the T0me designed ones made up by Strangerover.
M08 x 35mm x 2
M10 x 25mm x 3 - domed head, hex fitting. These are for fitting the front plate to a cross brace. You may not have this.
M10 x 35mm x 2
M12 x 35mm x 2
M08 Spring washers x 2
M08 Washers x 2
M10 Washers x 5
M10 Spring washers x 5 - x3 are for the domed head bolts
M12 Spring washers x 5
PM me your email addy and I will send you a copy of T0me's fitting instructions, showing what bolt goes where.

I appear to only have two sections of my Mitsubishi bash plate that I removed six years and a number of house moves in ago with the belief that was all I needed. I came to fit it last night and after a lot of struggling, came to the conclusion that there must be a third section that I'm missing going from the middle section that bolts to the chassis up to under the bull bars.
Has anyone a picture confirming this and has anyone going to the meet up next week got a spare they don't need?
Cheers

Sounds like your missing the Plastic (front) undercover. Part Number MR121025.
I found my old one in the loft this week, from when I fitted my galvanised steel one.
I've added it to the pile of stuff to go in my van.

Hi Lewis - are there fitting differences for bash plates on the SWB 3.0L V6 vs the diesels? Mine doesn't have any bashplates and am wondering (a) where to buy (tigweld4u?) and (b) how to fit!
Thanks

When I was under John Wilbey's V6 I noted he had bash plates fitted and they used the same bolt holes, with retained nuts welded in.
You would be okay fitting the OEM plates, but aftermarket ones would need to have the same mounting points. _________________

okay thanks - do you know if the tigweld4u ones use the same mount points as the OEM ones? Do you know a source to purchase OEM ones? _________________ I'm a Delica newbie - please bear with me ;) |

You will have to ask Lee himself on that issue. _________________

I have an L400 diesel LWB and a V6 SWB.
I can confirm what Lewis says, that the arrangement is identical, with the fixing points in the same positions and the retained nuts.
With my V6 I have the aluminium snow catcher, which hooks over the shaped bar below the front bumper. It is more robust than the plastic front section, but it is a little bit more of a fiddle to remove.
By the way, Lewis - I am able to see your pictures these days, thank you....viewing them had me beat at one time. |

Lewis - are you able to send me pictures/images of how your is installed (as you mention earlier in this thread) and where all the mounting points/retaining nuts are? _________________ I'm a Delica newbie - please bear with me ;) |

Mine is a t0me designed Galvanised stainless custom plate and slightly different to the OEM Engine cover plates.
Hopefully this colour coded fitting plan I have knocked up will make it easy to see what goes where.
Actual fitting points on the chassis - Plates in place - Plate set
