This bump stop fell off yesterday while fettling the wheel arches , only to reveal a good sized rusted hole in the box chasis ..... can this be fixed with a good bit of welding ?

Wrong!
That photo is of a bump stop below the upper wishbone in a front arch.
The rear ones are oblong, with a pointed tip, which contact onto the chassis rails. _________________

Yes Lewis is right, as usual it is a front bump stop...not really bothered about that , more the rusted hole ....i will get a pic of it ...hopefully i can get it welded up and fixed ....bit of a secret one hiding there ...hopefully its not the end of the Bling _________________ Always remember when you read my replies I know less than Bazza. |

If only Mitsubishi had galvanised them. I think only Peugeot did a proper job of that back in the 90's. Even Mercs were rot-boxes in those days. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Here is the rust wormhole in the front box chassis...hope its fixable ...sorry about sideways image , just wouldn't load right way up ?

Had similar on mine and found it was just the sides so fairly straight forward to cut out and repair - fingers crossed!
