|

Good morning all,
In my very slow progress of setting my Delica up as a comfortable weekend away sleeping vehicle, I have got the diesel heating in which is brilliant, I bought the smallest heater, the 2kw one and that is perfect. Cabinet with drawers, cupboard and portaloo for my wife behind the drivers seat and drawer units in the boot and all looking good.
Now here's the problem, the cabinets cover the rear heater controls which I was going to relocate before having the realisation that I only need the temperature control slider, everything else is controllable from the front. I've been through the heater control manual and can't see how it's controlled - can anyone help?
My thoughts if I'm right put it in the too hard basket but maybe I'm wrong. As it has climate control I guess that the cabin temp is measured and then a control unit will control a solenoid on a flap bypassing the heater matrix? In the same way as the front controls work.
I don't have the time to crawl round and come up with a solution, so I'll throw it out to the group, any thoughts on how to isolate the temperature control so thats all I have to find a home for? Otherwise it's extend all the wires and move the whole panel.
Cheers, Andy _________________ 1994 LWB Super Exceed L400, Black & Silver |

If you have the digital front control then you can also use that to control the rear temp, without requiring the rear slider.
Have a play with the REAR Control button and the REAR button, as they do different things. _________________

Yes, I use the front controller to control the rear but as the temperature is an analogue slider I didn't think the front would over ride the rear.

That's not fair! Tried mine and I can control everything apart from the temp, pressing the temp button has no effect!

This has also been annoying me. I also can control everything except the temp from the front controller and my rear heater controls were removed during camper conversion. I was wondering if one could just somehow wire a dial (to take the place of the slider) into the rear control loom somehow? _________________ I'm a Delica newbie - please bear with me ;) |

I'm sure you can wire something up but don't actually know how the rear temp is regulated so sorry can't help.

No worries - cheers Andy. Maybe someone else on here does? At least rear is set to 25ºC so can warm the back up sometimes _________________ I'm a Delica newbie - please bear with me ;) |
