got sick of the crap output from my Deli fan and looking what scrappers want for a fan pushing 30yrs old i wanted something a bit better and could be bought off the shelf easily.

SPAL 009-A70-74D SPAL Centrifugal Blower 319cfm:

this was the cheapest i found for 75 quid:
https://www.t7design.co.uk/009-a70-74d-spal-centrifugal-blower-319cfm-009-a70-74d.html

3x 40A fused relays:

218cfm  fan
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073V16DWX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

some 1.5mm steel sheet, to make the bracket, cut with tin snips, can be bent easily enough in a work mate.

5mm old mouse pad/neoprene rubber to make a seal behind/aircon housing

with just the SPAL fan, it’s about twice the output on the old one.
add on fan increases the static pressure, so negates the aircon evaporator and matrix in the way of the flow, adds about another third to the overall output.

add on fan shroud was an iceland posh chicken kiev tray, the ali was quite thick!

forgot to add:

make sure the spal fan fits okay and attach the screws back side only, so the fan can be slid into place when the bracket is fitted, as there is no way in hell you can get around the back to tighten them up. the surround seal glued on the fan helps keep it in place and prevents air leaking out.

remove fan making sure you have a good friction fit on the rear screws, then screw the fan bracket into the aircon case/old metal fan housing with 3x5mm self tapping pozi screws, I used five top and bottom and it feels solid, a ratchet screwdriver comes in handy.

also double check the wiring colours, some delis have different coloured looms.
