Hi all - I'm in the process of taking the timing gear case off my L400 - does anyone know if I need to fully remove the air conditioning compressor or can I just undo the bracket that secures it to the casing? Everything else is off bar that and the alternator...

Cheers.

They are not connected, so you only need to undo the bracket, assuming you are removing the engine and need the extra space.

If you are leaving it in situ, then you do not need to remove it.

Brilliant, thanks Lewis, that's the answer I was hoping for!
