My Delica has been lifted a little (not sure how much and not looked properly at which springs yet) and now has 16" rims. It came with  245/70/16 Yokohama Geolandar AT-S tyres (which I like!).

I have obviously spent far too long reading the threads here about tyre pressures as I get to know my Delica. I am running 40psi all round right now (max is 51). As it has had a camper conversion I am thinking to up this a little for motorway driving. Does 45psi seem like a sensible value (I will check wear and heat etc)?

As a second question - if I then take it off-road, what psi do folks tend to drop down too - for example in very sandy and/or muddy conditions?

I run at 33psi on country and side roads, and 36 for long motorway journeys. I only let air out for very rocky tracks and for very soft ground - perhaps 20-25. You'll need a good pump to blow them back up afterwards, as travelling any distance on tarmac with soft tyres will wear and damage them quite quickly.

I run 35psi on roads and 30psi off road. Anything higher makes her too bouncy.

Thanks for the replies so far - I have a decent T-max BA2641 compressor
