My steering fluid is leaking. I've been topping it up every few days for months, so the underside of the truck is completely plastered with dexron, which should keep the rust at bay. But anyway, I had a look at the rack and found the gaiters were full of fluid, which means the seals inside the rack need replacing.

I've seen the video on youtube showing how to replace them, but I'm not sure I fancy rebuilding it myself. I'm going to have more than enough fun taking it off. There's a company called SSL Autoparts advertising a Delica steering rack reconditioning service on ebay. Has anybody done business with them? Are they reputable?

Phil.

So I sent my rack to SSL in Wakefield. I got it back a week later all fixed up. It's working fine and doesn't piss oil any more. Seems like they did a good job.

Good info. 👍.

I had a recon rack fitted to first Deli, and although it worked, it was never like the original.

Let us know how it goes.

All the best
