Hi everyone
I was going to put one of those flashing LEDs on the dash  to act as a visual deterrent.  Can someone point me in the direction as to where a live wire is under the dash that I can use when the ignition is turned off? I have a 1994 L400 3L V6

Thanks in advance

Jon

There is always a Live wire to the Ignition switch.

I did this years ago. Wired the LED from a + Live to the Ignition coil - Soon as Ignition is ON, it extinguished the LED.
Dunno if/how this would work with modern electronic ignition.

Thinking about it I have got other ideas. Don't be shy to ask.
BTW RED LEDs only draw 20 milliamps and run on Approx 2 volts, that needs a resistor of around 500 ohms + - 40 ohms.
