Just choose some dates before September, Deker, and I will book mine in. But we'll need to work fast, as I suspect they will fill up quickly. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Looking at long range weather, from Wednesday 26th this month.
Make the dates to suit you. Being retired, any dates okay for me.
Hopefully, I have another member lives close to me will also be there. (LWB L400)

Being unable to get a response by telephone from the site (it chowed "Busy", 3 times, I have e-mailed an enquiry to them regarding availability of a grass pitch area big enough for up to 4 Day-vans with awnings, no hook-up, for the nights of 27,28,and 29th August (Thurs, Friday, Saturday). I suspect, as this runs into the bank holiday weekend, they may tell me either that they are fully booked, or that I will have to book the Sunday night as well. okay, I have made contact with Steve at The Bridge Camping and Caravan site, Dingestowe, (as above link) and booked myself in for Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights 27th, 28th, 29th August. He is okay with, that, but if anyone would prefer the Fri, Sat., and Sunday nights, I will change my booking. It has to be at least three nights, because it's a bank holiday weekend - pay cash on arrival, no cards.
PLEASE, would anyone else who wants to go, contact and book ASAP, as space for the BH weekend is filling up fast (he had a queue by the time I had finished my five minute phone call!)
ALSO PLEASE mention you are part of the Mitsubishi Delica group, with Andrew Clay and Derek Manly, so we all get located together.
See you there. Long range forecast says mainly dry, partial cloud. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

PS, Do I tout this on FB? Any objections? It may just mean we can meet up with other Deli owners in the area, as I don't think the site will have much spare capacity beyond four. _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

STOP PRESS! Having now heard that Deker and Alfgunner are definitely going, I have deleted my previous "Bailing" post. I never cancelled my booking. Sorry, but lack of response on here made me think I'd be on my own a long way from home, possibly in indifferent weather. If anyone else is going, please let us know on here that you are coming, as well as the camp site! Now very much looking forward to it, and will post on FB.
See you there! _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Great to catch up with you. Hope you all enjoyed my little tour of my playground, and the chips and ice cream. I’m hopeful to go to the overland show. May camp but not decided as yet |

Good to meet you both Andy and Rob, was a good trip and nice to drive through the valleys.
The fish n chips were good but I agree with Deker the chips could have been better.
I've posted a few very small vids of our trip on my youtube channel of my username here. |

Good to meet you (and Buddy!) Steve. I hope all that touring has given you confidence in your Deli, and not thrown up any concerns. FWIW, I reckon you have got a nice bargain. I tried to message you, but it failed. Didn't Deker have the same problem trying to contact you? _________________ Andy C L300 Super Exceed - over 100 smiles per gallon! |

Cheers. Buddie had the ump for a few days afterwards.
The trip threw up the water leak problem which now I diagnosed to being faulty o-rings in the thermostat housing/pipes, with new o-rings are on their way to me I'm keen to get this sorted.
Also with Dekers help my timing chain will be changed very soon.
We swapped sliding doors on Monday, I got his damaged one and took about four hours lol.
Overall my car did okay. With above mentioned fixes it might tempt me to get up to the Overland Show.
P.S. I didn't get a missed call, will get your number off of Deker. |
