'97 L400 2.8 (series 1) . What type of Power steering fluid? All the info says ATF, but it looks clear or slightly yellow like brake fluid? |

Think I may have a leak!, now I just need to get to grips with correctly reading the dipstick!....is it easiest to top up from the dipstick tube?.

The dipstick tube is the only way to fill it up. _________________

Okay, transmission dipstick was halfway between ‘cold’ and ‘hot’ with engine cold then about a couple of centimetres over the ‘hot’ Mark with the engine hot. I have checked this on previous occasions and it seemed okay and I’ve never topped it up!. There were a few small bubbles on the dipstick when the engine was hot, but I’m not sure if this is an indication that the oil has been foaming?.
Only drips lightly and never seems to reach the ground, gears seem okay....any thoughts?.
2003 Auto 3.0 v6 chamonix.
Thanks!. |
