This weekend should see my first attempt to start the engine after installing a new head, timing chain and many other bits along the way, as a result I'm expecting to have to slacken the injector pipe unions whilst cranking the engine over with the starter motor before it will fire up.  What I'm worried about is the fact the timing chain tensioner is retracted until the oil pressure pushes it out - as long as this is in fact the case(?) I can see a lot of cranking in order to bleed with a slack chain.  Am I worrying over nothing?

Thanks for any help.
