Just off to get the air con re gassed in the bling ....is there any info i need to tell the mechanic, he seems to think mine may have the old type gas ??    its an L400 1995 2.8 diesel...just in case i have been forgotten :D

Should be new gas one fill point is easy to see the other ain't.

I think there's a new gas since the 134a that L400's were filled with, but I think it's compatible, just even more green. Unlike the R12 that L300's were originally filled with. Anyway, I don't think your valves will need changing or adapting.

They told me the system has a slight leak, filled it with dye , re gassed , all working , so see how long it lasts and where the leak pops up......watch the weather turn cold now  Laughing

Mine was cold for a couple of weeks once till it leaked out and then I mullered the underneath after going down a slope Les pointed at so ripped it all out to stop the rad getting clogged with mud.
Best places for leaks seem to be under the bus on the passenger side where the gubbins are or passenger side leaking from the right into the footwell.
