Good points.
They add to the stability of the truck by increasing track.
Stops wide tyres rubbing on anti roll bar.
Aesthetically pleasing.
Better handling.
Makes room for bigger brakes.
Wider track helps dodge speed bump.
Bad points
Can’t think of any. _________________ Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.... |

Can put extra stress on the wheel studs if too wide. _________________ Ian.

Original wheel studs are used to hold spacer then bolted up, then the wheel is held on using another set of studs fixed to the spacer ring.
So both sets of studs are in fact the same length.
I would advise using hubcentric spacers as the hub and spacer take most of the load as they interlock. _________________ Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.... |

I've seen a few trucks with spacers and wider rims break studs and wheels come off, no evidence of they broke or just came loose _________________ 2nd gear low and go go go!
