In my experience, they wowl on anything but motorways, sharpen their claws on the upholstery, piss under the seats, and vomit on your clothes, unless confined to a cage. We took our cat camping once, she was fine once we got there - brought us a variety of rodents, and spent a good deal of time sat on a rock by the river, trying to catch trout - sadly without success.

Take it with you Deker,

The lad I adopted, I was told had been an indoor cat, he really is not used to being out.

He's so used to being IN, it took nearly a year for him to get the hang of a "cat flap"
He goes out, but not for long. Never walks far from home.

As for hunting birds - he's got no idea, thinks he can stalk them on an open lawn - it don't work  :D
Doesn't occur to him to hide behind something  Exclamation

'An he definitely don't like going in the car  Sad

Mine never made a sound, which is probably why I didn't know it had jumped out of the Deli, as I was taking photos; before I jumped back in and drove off.  Crying or Very sad

She was; and no I didn't. I had driven over 100 miles before I next stopped and had put out food and water for her, before I realised she was missing.

She usually curled up to sleep behind the drivers seat, and was asleep when I got out.

Chance to try out new awning I've bought.
Similar to the Ironman one on the L400 at Coniston.
Fits on to the roof gutter or into "C" rail I have fitted.

I was quite impressed with Paul's awning - seemed both simple and sturdy. I am sure Deker will be able to help you break yours, Ian! Wink

Is it an Ironman one or a different make?

It's a Eurotrail Camper/Bus awning.

New awning is dead simple to fit, done in under 10 minutes first time, just have to make sure it doesn't get affected by late night whisky!!!

Glad you've got the cat sorted! Looking forward to scenic Welsh lanes, mountains and reservoirs.  Within 100 miles of Merseyside, Manchester and Birmingham. Just hoping we are lucky with the weather. (But I don't mind if it rains in the next 4 weeks.)

Just pre ordered a 2Kw Inverter Generator from Aldi, made by Workzone, £289 with 3 year warranty, so should be okay for wild camping/ off road etc.
