Hi All, First post,
Giving a symptom of the EGR going nuts, A massive flat spot at 2,500rpm, along with hideous diesel knock and grey and black smoke, Will get a video and post it up.
Also a sound of the turbo 'wheezing' is caused by the EGR.
I took my works EGR apart to clean and found a piece of metal lodged inside it, which looked like an old blanking plate!!! Maybe check yours asap?

If the metal blanking plate is too thin it will eventually disintegrate and self convert into a gasket!  Rolling Eyes
