Hi All,

I have just purchased a royal exceed 1994 in almost perfect condition, except the karaoke machine. I run a theatre company so the idea of having a sing-a-long bus is quite appealing. Who can tell me how I get it working, is it  compatible with any modern heads? Has anyone got a wiring diagram.

Failing that, if it can't be easily used. How do you remove it? And what have people put in its place?

Thanks

Hi, I take it yours still has the original double-din head unit? My L300 did, which only picked up one UK station, - it was set up for the Japanese radio system. I didn't mind that - it played my cassettes, and, as you say, you could have karaoke, or, as on one occasion, one of my passengers gave a guided tour/comic commentary as we drove around Coniston. Sadly, it developed an intermittent fault on the LH stereo channel, and the  Single DIN Sony CD/USB/ 3mm jack head unit I replaced it with, doesn't have anywhere to plug the rear deck into.On the other hand, I can chose from Radio, CD, iPod/Phone, or Sony walkman (cassette player), and it has a remote control so I can control it from the optimal listening position, - the semi-reclined rear bench. I still have the original head unit, and the Sound Stage control deck is all there in the back - I dare say another single Din unit would fit in its place, or I could just clip in another storage tray.

Hi again, thanks for your reply. Sorry hadn't received a notification. Anyway. I now have an orginal mitsubishi double din stero. My plan is to run the outs from this to the aux input of my DAB radio. Meaning I can have karaoke and DAB at the flick of a switch. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or an operating manual for the stereo and the audio stage karaoke slave unit?

Thanks.
