Don't worry too much, Mr D, the upper dales in early April are as likely to be dismal and bleak as spring-like and picturesque, and If I lived in Hertfordshire, I wouldn't risk travelling that far at Deli mpg on the off-chance. Besides, if you are coming north in the summer, after the NHS has fixed your filters, I'll give you a guided tour, and you can tell me "There aint enough trees". Also, I hope that if it's a successful meet, it will encourage us to have more. I'm still hoping that I can get to the proposed South West meet, weddings permitting,  Late July and early August are best for me, but if I have to miss it, well it sort of balances things out, like karma.
ATB, mate.

1) Deli MPG = Not too much of a problem (at the mo) Costco fuel @ 85 pence (last time I bought it) per Litre helps  Wink

2) Err - like the Coniston meet, and Wales last year  Rolling Eyes

3) A friends cousin has had a similar op. to what I am having, after three weeks he's all good -
SO, I should be okay for the S, S/W meet. Just like I was at Wales  :? Err. Moaning in my sleep, you said  Sad

Looks like I can make this meet after all!!
Are we meeting up near Muker on the Friday night and then moving on Saturday?
Nice pint of Old Peculiar would go down well!!!
Hope it turns out a bigger meet than Wales last year, and yes Deker I will leave the Whisky at home this time!!

Yes, Muker Friday night, whether at Usha Gap, or Cunning Linguist's gaff/ field, TBA. then Saturday late morning to Tan Hill, then track to Bowes, ending up Saturday evening at Coniston Hall farm by personal choice of route. Then Sunday, further off-roading, touring, or whatever comes out of our doubtless well-lubricated and nourished discussions. Keep everything crossed for fair weather and healthy Delis!

Looks like a good plan!
Usha Gap looks to be the place as it's close to the pub, staying at Hoggarths is 5 miles away apparently.
I can feel the pull of the Old Peculiar already.
Think I'll book into Usha for the Friday night.
Do I have to book Coniston Hall for the Saturday?

I think they are just turn up and pay. Then drive around until you find fellow Deli owners. Last  time, we found a good patch to the right of the right- hand fork, next to the woods, and approx 100 yards from the toilet/ shower block.

Got home today, I can now walk without getting pain & backache  :D

Me thought "I'm going to work tonight" - - - However, there are other discomforts  Sad
So, may not go to work, it seems recovery may take some time   Shocked
Have to go back to hospital - about 6-7 weeks for post op. check.

You lot may be lucky - - - NOT to be plagued with my pleasance (Means, not nicking imbibing Ian & Andy's Whisky)  Wink

Just looked up that site, not keen. I feel it's no where near as "Cosy" as Disserth, Nr. Llandrindod Wells, Wales.
Think I would prefer Coniston Hall site

Still early days yet, for me to say whether I'll be fit enough  :?
Moved me Milling machine yesterday, weighs around 2/5 of a ton. Trying  to tidy 40 + years (WOT  Exclamation ) of mess in me workshop  Shocked
Of course, knowing me, the tidy bit won't work  Sad

Not feeling confident to go back to work, I must try, maybe tonight. Need cash to buy toys, and weekends away.
