1) Probably dead easy for a cabbie. But not for a) a LWB Delica or b) one with wide wheels and flared arches. I know yours is neither of these and you're welcome to try it. Or park by the trees out front!

Not sure my wife would approve! Unless there is a competent dry stone waller amongst us!

You need a strong back for walling, but then again, you got Ian to bed at Disserth!

Found this (very cheap, basic, and in beautiful Wensleydale). https://askrigg-camping.com/
Lewis recommends this site, which has full facilities, but more pricey. In a lovely part of North Yorks, near Helmsley, Rievaulx etc. http://www.goldensquarecaravanpark.com/tariffs-and-offers Perhaps early/ mid May to avoid higher tariff. If you fancy the Lake District, https://conistonhallcampsite.wordpress.com/this is big enough, pretty relaxed, and borders the Lake shore. About a mile from Coniston. Reasonably priced for the Lakes, as I remember from 4 years ago. Will try to get current tariff.

I really like the look of that Askrigg place, even considering the "facilities", but then again I tend to prefer more rural/rustic/basic/remote places!

Managed to find one, eventually, but it hasn't been updated since last year.

http://conistonhallcampsite.co.uk

It didn't have any prices on so I sent an E-Mail for info and have just received this message back:-

Hi
Thank you for your message.

Sorry the prices are not on the website yet.

The prices have not yet been set for this year, but 2016 prices were as follows: £8 per adult, £2 per car and £4 per child per night. There may be a slight increase in some of the prices.  There are separate charges if you bring any boats or canoes and the showers are operated by a 50p coin.

We are open from Friday 24th March 2017.

Please do not hesitate to get back to me if you require any further information.

Regards

Carolyn

One thing I noted is that they only take tents, campers and motorhomes.  No caravans.

Good on yer, Lewis. Are caravans not banned anyway from central Lakes? Too much of a nuisance to others on narrow roads with tight turning around places. Sounds good to me.

I wouldn't know about that, apart from there being a caravan club site next door.  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes

Do you know somewhere suitable where you could hide a few Delis without the LDNP wardens turfing us off? Or even somewhere in Yorkshire? Secluded common land, off the beaten track, accessible only in 4WD! 8-)

I know places where I can park a single, possibly two Deli's up overnight, usually by arriving in the location at night, with no hassle.  :o

But several Deli's for two or three days, without attracting attention... I don't know anywhere remote enough for that in Yorkshire.
