Had marc3 call in today, on his way back down from Scotland. to replace my cam chain.

He arrived at 17:45'ish and by 19:00 he was done and on his way home. Was able to have a nice chat with him and his Mrs, whilst he worked. Extremely efficient and a clean worker. He even cleaned up the few drops of oil that were spilt as the old chain was wound out. :D

The old chain had stretched a good seven to ten millimetres.

After he left I took my Delica for a run over the moors, towards Greater Manchester, but turned off home quickly when I realised I had forgotten my passport. The difference in the response from the engine was marked, especially up the hills, by having the timing back as it should be.

Thank you Lewis and it was very nice to meet you.... just a shame it was so late and us still having a 4 hour journey to do to get home, would had been nice to chat more.....

We ended up getting home at 10.20pm after stopping for the loo and at local shop for wine, lol, a total of 1060 miles since Saturday Shocked

Just took my van for a test drive after mark3 replaced the timing chain and water pump and serviced it. Like a different motor, smoother, quieter and more powerful.
I can thoroughly recommend Mark, he did a great job for a great price and fixed a couple of things that I didn't even know were broken. I will definitely be using his services again.
