I am looking to get hold of a towbar for general use.  I've narrowed it down to the Anker 7603 or the Towtrust TC705 (my preferred option).

I can pick up the Towtrust relatively locally.  Question is, does anyone know whether it would be worth getting the ALKO towball?

Not planning to pull a caravan, but maybe a boat trailer, and larger box trailers.

I understand you shouldn't pull an ALKO hitch with a standard ball, but can you pull a non-ALKO hitch with an ALKO ball.

And how common are ALKO hitches anyway?

Thanks.

If Alko's balls and hitches are so fussy, I'd stick to standard stuff. The only problem I've encountered is pulling a metric 50mm hitch with an imperial 2inch ball - the ball is too big to fit. You CAN pull a 2inch hitch with a metric ball though.

Also just has a bigger neck so will work with either hitch
